Welcome to the agriculture section of the OSU Baker County Extension website. My name is Leticia Henderson and I am the Baker County Livestock and Rangeland extension agent. Agriculture is a keystone industry to Baker County. The products, farms, and ranches in the county are as diverse as the landscape. Oregon State University is proud to support the agricultural producers who work hard to provide quality products, implement ecologically sound practices, and contribute to the social and economic fabric of Baker County. As the county livestock agent, it is my job to bring the university to the people of Baker County. I work with livestock producers, forage producers, and other community members to develop extension programs that are relevant to agriculture production. Our office is a clearing house of information. This website is developed to provide information about Baker County agriculture, scientific resources for producers, and information about Oregon State University workshops and research. You can find information relevant to livestock, field crops, forages , and natural resources.

My name is Leticia Henderson and I am the Baker County Livestock and Rangeland extension agent. I grew up on a ranch in southeastern New Mexico where we raised registered Charolais, commercial cattle, and sheep. I studied agricultural economics and business at New Mexico State University and Rangeland Ecology and Management at the University of Wyoming. I knew in graduate school that I wanted to work in extension because I like working with agricultural producers, bringing science to the public, and working to improve rangeland management and livestock production practices.
