Tree Seedling Sale: The annual Linn County Small Woodland Association Tree Seedling Sale is to be Saturday, February 16 from 8 am - 1 pm or until supplies last. It will be held at the Linn County Fair and Expo Center, 3700 Knox Butte Road, Albany. Seedlings vary in price from $1.00 - 5.00 each. The following conifers have been ordered: Douglas-fir, ponderosa pine, incense-cedar, western redcedar, noble fir, grand fir, western hemlock, coast redwood, and giant sequoia. Hardwoods include: Chinese pistache, Eastern redbud, Japanese snowbell, Kousa dogwood, Oregon ash, Pacific madrone, pagoda dogwood, purple smoketree, red alder, strawberry tree and tulip tree. Woodland Information Night This annual event is being held Tuesday, February 26, 7:00 - 9:00 pm at the Corvallis-Benton County Public Library, 645 NW Monroe Ave, Corvallis. Topics this year include the latest on GIS and your forestland, Oregon Small Woodlands Association's attempt to secure affordable fire liability insurance and the local log market outlook.
