Insights into Gardening
A day of gardening information filled with seminars on your favorite garden topics, a local author, great exhibits, and plant and book sales. This event is organized by the Benton County Master Gardener Association. The 2012 event will be held on February 11; check back for details of topics and registration.
Gearing up for Gardening
Start your new year by getting into the mood for gardening! The annual Gearing Up for Gardening lecture series starts on January 10. Every Tuesday through February at 12:10 pm in the Library’s Main Meeting Room there will be entertaining and informative programs to get your green thumb tingling. OSU Master Gardeners, Linn-Benton Community College Benton Center, and the Library collaborate on this popular series with features knowledgeable local experts. This is a people helping people oportunity where you can help feed the less fortunate. Gardeners all over our community are planting a row of food in their garden for the less fortunate. This food will be donated to food banks in Benton County. Please Call 541-766-6750 if you are interested in participating.
The purpose of this scholarship is to encourage and enhance the post-secondary, academic study of horticulture, botany, and plant science. It is a non-renewable $1000 scholarship. Please see application instructions for further details.
