Neighborhood Sustainability Stewards

OSU Extension’s innovative Neighborhood Sustainability Stewards volunteer program engages the local community in climate change actions on a household level. Volunteers attend a 10 session course on climate change and sustainable living topics to give them a basic level of knowledge. They then commit to 30 hours of volunteer payback in projects and education outreach with the community. Our goals are: to engage the general public in a climate change conversation, to give the public tools to lower CO2 emissions on a household level, and to give them skills to live sustainably in a changing world.
