Benton County~ Youth Forestry Education

What is Benton County Youth Forestry Education? The Youth Forestry Education
project provides resources for Benton County youth and their educators who are
engaged in learning about local forests and their many values and contributions.
Through its Coordination Council and diverse projects, Youth Forest Education
enhances existing forestry education offerings and creates new learning
materials and opportunities for Benton County youth.

YFE works together with our local education partners to enhance learning opportunities.
- For example, in September 2005, YFE was a major sponsor of Kids Day for Conservation, a community event that taught families about the natural resources of their watershed.

The Natural Resource Education Guide is a compilation of agencies and organizations that offer materials, tours, presentations, workshops, and other resources to area educators.
The original Guide and yearly revisions are provided to classroom teachers, club leaders, community outreach agencies, and parent and community volunteers.
