Three business owners have successful new ventures thanks to Tillamook County faculty

For decades, the Tillamook County Extension Service has worked with agricultural business owners to help them manage and expand their operations. Recently, three of those owners came to Extension hoping to explore new agricultural enterprises, but in need of guidance on how to get started. One person wanted to grow and sell fresh flowers, another was interested in blueberries, and the third had the idea to start a purebred swine operation.

Thanks to the work of Tillamook Extension faculty, these three businesses now generate about $1.2 million in combined annual gross income and employ up to 12 people.
