Clackamas County 4-H Summer Camps

General Summer Camp Information

The Clackamas County 4-H program offers youth in grades 4-8 an overnight, week-long camping experience each July. Summer Camp provides young people the opportunity to explore the outdoors, learn new skills, meet new friends, practice leadership skills, and teaches campers how to live cooperatively with others. The camping program is directed by the Clackamas County 4-H Camp Committee and is held at the 4-H Youth Conference and Education Center near Salem. Campers from outside Clackamas County are welcome to attend.

Attending Summer Camp

Camper registration begins in early spring. Older youth who have completed grades 10-12 may apply to become a camp counselor. Counselor applicants receive more than 30 hours of leadership training prior to the camp experience. Counselor applications are usually available from the Extension office in January.

Adult volunteers serve as camp staff and oversee the daily camp programs. We are happy to help you if you would like to join us!
