Enrollment Deadline - January 15, 2013!

At the October 2009 Horse Advisory meeting, the Advisory voted to change the horse project enrollment deadline to January 15. This gives leaders and members more time after the holidays to complete their enrollments. It also mirrors the early bird enrollment deadline for all other projects (after this date, the enrollment fee increases by $5). If you have questions about this change, please contact the Extension office.

Horse Contest Guide - These guidelines for 4-H members, leaders, and judges give general as well as specific rules for competitive horse activities. Rule differences by state are clearly described. Includes information on clothing and tack, showmanship, equitation, dressage, hunt seat, driving, and Western games. NOTE: The Horse Contest Guide is being revised and a new edition will be out soon. However, the contests listed above will use the version that reads "Effective October 2, 2009."
