Woodland Management - Basic Forestry Shortcourse, Thursday classroom sessions, February 9, 16, 23 and March 2, 6:00 - 8:30 pm. One Saturday field session, March 4, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm, The Oregon Garden, NR Education Room, Silverton, OR. This five-session course is ideal for anyone just starting to take care of their woodlands. Reforestation Assessment Workshop, Saturday, February 11, 9:00 am - 2:00 pm, Hopkins Demonstration Forest, 16750 S Brockway Rd, Oregon city, OR. This reforestation workshop includes an informal classroom session covering the basic steps in reforestation and continues in the field to survey and assess reforestation success and maintenance needs the first year after planting.
