Tree School Clackamas 2012 registration closes early!

Tree School Clackamas registration is now CLOSED. Unfortunately, Tree School is not able to offer walk-in registrations.

Randall Hall opens at 7:15am on March 24 for check-in of registered attendees. Classes start at 8:15am. Classes going off-campus will be leaving at 8:15am.

On March 24 please allow additional travel time to Clackamas Community College due to the ODOT traffic advisory below.

Traffic Advisory – Highway 213 Jughandle Project road closure on March 24 - ODOT is closing Exit 10 off Interstate 205 the weekend of Tree School both north and south bound. The best alternate route is to go to Highway 99E (McLoughlin Blvd) from the Oregon City exit off Interstate 205. Once you are on McLoughlin Blvd. head south and take the left turn at 10th Street. Proceed across the railroad tracks and up the hill. Follow the road to the left at the Y and continue up the hill on 7th Street which will change names to Molalla Avenue. Molalla Avenue will end at the Clackamas Community College intersection.

Please read your class descriptions:

* Dress in layers for wet weather - check your class descriptions for rain symbols that indicate outdoor classes.

* Follow Special Instructions (!) - The (!) symbol indicates that there are special instructions for the class.

* Pest Recertification - to receive Pest Recertification credits you must be enrolled in ODA approved classes and have your Oregon identification number.

Special Events on Tree School Day:

* Well Water Testing is offered again! Bring one to two cups of your well water in a clean jar with tight lid and have it tested while you attend Tree School. Be sure to label the jar with your name and phone number. Pick up your results at the end of the day.

* Forests Forever Raffle benefits the Hopkins Demonstration Forest. Prizes include a Stihl chainsaw, Tree School 2013 gift certificates, forestry tools and herbicides, seedlings and more! Tickets are available at the Clackamas County Extension Office prior to Tree School day and on March 24. Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5.

* Exhibit Hall - more than 50 forestry related companies and exhibits will be available in Randall Hall from 9:30am to 4:00pm.
