4th - 7th Grades

  • 4-H Day Camp (flyer)    4-H Day Camp (Spanish)   July 6, 2017   9 am - 4:30 pm  at OSU Extension parking lot, 2001 Marine Drive, Astoria OR  CANCELLED for 2017

A fun day of activities, crafts & swimming. Open to 4-H and non 4-H youth in grades 4 through 6 (just completed). Cost $25, includes t-shirt and lunch, snacks. Registration due by June 26

A fun over-nighter! Held the first Friday and Saturday of November, 4-H members, grades 4 thru 6, learn games and crafts while older teens act as leaders. It's a night of fun, food, and friends. Teens attend training sessions prior to the event and arrive Friday afternoon to prepare for the evening's festivities. "Campers" arrive around 6:00 pm. After a great night and an early morning breakfast Saturday, parents pick up 4-H members.

  • Summer Slumber 2.0 Camps (Cancelled for 2018)

This is two separate 1-night events offered to youth in grades 4-6.  The participants (4-H and non-4-H members) sleep in tents, do activities and crafts, play games, sing songs, make new friends, and have a lot of fun.  This event is typically held in mid July.


7th - 12th Grades

  • Camp Counselor Training

This is an opportunity for 4-H youth grades 8 (Counselors in Training - CIT) through 12. Training series run from February through April in Clatsop County, with an overnight training  in April. Youth (grades 9 - 12) who successfully complete the training, may have the opportunity to serve as counselors at the 4-H Lock-in (approved CIT's also), Summer Slumber, & other state-wide camps such as Wild West Camp

  • Experiencing Citizenship Scholarship

This is a 4 day event at Oregon State University for youth in grades 7-12. This event includes choosing workshop selections from about 40 classes! Experience college life by living in the dorms and eating at the university cafeteria. Other activities include inspirational guest speaker, outdoor games, evening dance, bowling, and the final high-light is a recognition banquet for those chosen to be National Delegates and State Ambassadors.

This is a retreat planned by youth for youth! A Regional Youth Governing Board has gathered to plan this year's retreat including the theme, classes, adn activites, basically everything you will do! You can be guaranteed a worthwhile and memorable experience! We look forward to having youth participate from Benton, Clatsop, Hood River, Lane, Linn, Marion, Multnomah, Polk, Tillamook, Washington, Wasco, and Yamhill Counties! Come & make some new friends!
