Our spring is very slowly evolving into summer. It is hard to imagine that in 3 months we will be begging for wet and cool but that is usually the case.
The Master Gardener trainees of 2008 are working hard to fulfill their required 45 hours of volunteer work on approved projects. Completion of this training not only brings a sense of personal satisfaction, it reinforces the knowledge and training covered in the class hours.
I will be working with the Master Gardener program in the capacity of Program Assistant while we try to determine a replacement position for our agent who left in March. Please feel free to call the office with your questions or interest in the program or requirements. The office staff can answer your questions or refer them on to me.

President's
Report
Hello
Fellow Gardeners,
Thank you to all of you that attended the garden tour. We all had a wonderful time and the food was great. I want to thank John and Marion for their hospitality for having us there.
I hope that more of you members would attend our monthly meetings. We need your input and experience in which direction you would like the Master Gardner to go.
At the next meeting we will be giving the Spring Garden Seminar report. This event was a great success thanks to all of you.
The Oregon Master Gardener Association Mini-College registration is due this month. The event will be held in July on the OSU campus in Corvallis. Please plan to attend. This is a great event and I hope to see you there.
We are still without an Extension agent but Sandra Rohne can help you in the mean time. Leave her a message at the office of you need help or information.
