Master Gardener Training

Master GardenersTM receive intensive training provided by OSU Extension faculty, outside professionals and experienced Master Gardeners. Topics include botany basics, soil management, plant nutrition, pest identification and control; diagnosis of plant problems; growing vegetables, lawns, fruit trees, landscape plants; and more.

The cost of the training is $95.00. This fee helps pay for the instruction which is facilitated by OSU Extension faculty and other gardening experts, the Sustainable Gardening Handbook, the Master Gardener ID badge and volunteer support.

Training is one day each week for 10+ consecutive weeks. Please contact Sonia at the Columbia County Extension office (email or 503-397-3462) for more information on how to participate.
