Master Gardener Training
Master GardenersTM receive intensive training provided by OSU Extension faculty, outside professionals and experienced Master Gardeners. Topics include botany basics, soil management, plant nutrition, pest identification and control; diagnosis of plant problems; growing vegetables, lawns, fruit trees, landscape plants; and more.
Training is one day each week for 11 consecutive weeks starting in January. The 2009 classes have already begun. Please contact Vicki at the Columbia County Extension office (email or 503-397-3462) for an application to participate next year. Applications are accepted from November until mid-December. Applicants receive confirmation post cards.
