Master GardenersTM receive intensive training provided by OSU Extension faculty, outside professionals and experienced Master Gardeners. Topics include botany basics, soil management, plant nutrition, pest identification and control; diagnosis of plant problems; growing vegetables, lawns, fruit trees, landscape plants; and more.
The cost of the training is $80.00, the fee helps pay for the instruction which is facilitated by OSU Extension faculty and other gardening experts; the Sustainable Gardening Handbook, the Master Gardener ID badge and volunteer support.
