Meet Your FCD Agent

Stephanie Polizzi is an Associate Professor in the Department of Nutrition and Exercise Science at Oregon State University, and the Family and Community Development (FCD) Agent with the Extension Services for Coos and Curry Counties. She received her Master's in Public Health from Loma Linda University (CA) and is a Registered Dietitian with the American Dietetic Association. Her BS from Cortland State University (NY) is in Physical Education where she concentrated in cardiac rehabilitation and exercise science.

Stephanie joined OSU Extension in August, 2005, relocating here from the East coast. Born in Buffalo, NY, she has relocated coast to coast and overseas, experiencing different communities, learning styles and cultures. Her wellness consulting business called "Integrated Health" combined nutrition, fitness and lifestyle management with behavioral therapies to facilitate healthy practices. Specialty areas include diabetes, heart disease and weight management, all of which are current issues directly affecting the health and well-being of coastal Oregonians today.
