2014 Master Gardener Training
Master Gardener Training starts January 9, 2014, at the South Coast Education Service District building, 1350 Teakwood Ave., in Coos Bay. Classes are held each Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., from Jan. 9 until March 13, 2014. Some of the classes will be held at the OSU Extension Service office in Myrtle Point.
Class fee is $150, which includes the Sustainable Gardening reference book. A $50 refund will be given to participants who complete the course requirements and contribute 60 hours of volunteer time by the end of October, 2014. The course fee may be made by credit card by clicking on the PAY BY CREDIT CARD link below.
Those wishing to take the training must complete an application packet. Those forms are available online by clicking on the 2014 MASTER GARDENER TRAINING FORMS link below. Printed copies are also available at the Extension Service office, or by calling and requesting a packet. Class size is limited, so early sign-up is recommended.
Drop-ins are welcome for daily classes at $10 for a 1/2 day class, or $15 for both the morning and afternoon sessions. For more information about the training, or the individual classes, call the Extension office at 541-572-5263, ext 299 or ext 240.
