Citizenship

The more young people understand about their community, the better citizens they will be. Citizenship activities, including Community Pride projects, help youth to recognize themselves as resources ina community rather than recipients of service. Each 4-H club is encouraged to participate in a citizenship activity to meet a need inthe community as well as reflect the interests and concerns of the 4-H members. The youth learn about how a communty works and gain satisfaction in knowing that they can make a difference.
