About FCL
The Family Community
Leadership (FCL) program is a volunteer-based group. Working
as partners with Oregon State Extension Service staff, FCL provides
leadership skills to non-profit, civic and community organizations.
FCL volunteers receive
requests from a variety of organizations in need of group process
assistance. FCL designs and presents hands-on workshops tailored
to community organizations' specific needs.
Program goals include
educational improvement, increased participation in public affairs,
and strengthened effectiveness for leaders in a variety of community
groups
All FCL team members
have completed a comprehensive training course offered through
Oregon State Extension Service. Moreover, volunteers continue
to gain new skills and insight through their on-going involvement
with FCL.

difficult meeting, FCL can help directly through facilitation
or training individuals in facilitation techniques.
Public Policy
FCL offers effective methods to make your views heard at hearings,
board meetings, public forums, or in the legislature. Skills
emphasized are written communication and preparation for in-person
testimony.
Developing Volunteer

FCL offers a training workshop, "Building Bridges,"
for schools and other organizations that utilize volunteers.
Building Bridges focuses on volunteer program development and
volunteer management tools and techniques.
