Camp Counselors needed.
Application Deadline Friday, February 24 @ 5pm

Download and print application here.

We are looking for outstanding high school youth who want to work as teen counselors at our overnight 4-H camp this summer (August 7-11). This is an excellent opportunity for teens to learn leadership skills, while mentoring younger children at a residential camp in Curry County.

The camp is sponsored by the Oregon State University Extension Service 4-H Youth Development Program. Campers and counselors do not have to be 4-H members to attend. All youth are welcome to participate.  Campers are primarily from Port Orford, Gold Beach and Brookings who have recently completed grades 3rd –5th.

Counselors should currently be in 9th –12th grade. All they need to do is to complete and return the application form with references, and commit to attend the mandatory June 13-14 training (which will take place at Lobster Creek Campground) before camp. Applications are due by Friday, February 24th at 5pm.

Being a camp counselor is a volunteer job. There is no cost for counselors to attend -they will receive free room and board, and gain valuable life skills!Males are especially encouraged to get involved as we have a large number of boy campers who want to attend.
