Curry County 4-H Association & Board of Directors
Are you interested in joining the Curry County 4-H Board of Directors? We currently have openings for director positions as well as a Treasurer. Joining the 4-H Association is a great way to get involved in the program development side of 4-H. We are also looking for additional non-4-H volunteers to join our team, so if you have a friend or family member you think might be interested, please feel free to share this with them as well!
What exactly does a 4-H Board of Director do, you ask? The purpose of the Board is to provide information and advice to Extension Faculty and staff regarding 4-H program direction and to help mobilize resources to support 4-H. This comes in the form of program review, resource sharing and fundraising (to name a few).
How long would my term be? Terms are 3 years, except that the initial term can be 1 or 2 or 3 years. Depending on the term expirations of other board members. Such that no more than 1/3 of
directors expire at the same time. You are eligible for 2 consecutive terms and upon leaving, may
return after one year absence.
How often do we meet? The board is required to meet 4 times per year and may be attended
telephonically. In the interim of meetings, there may be times in which you are asked to vote or give input electronically via email. Meetings are scheduled for 2017 at the following times: February 28th, May 30th, September 5th all at 530PM at the OSU Extension Office.
Interested in applying? Please fill out the document below and return it to Margie by Friday, February 24th. If you would like further information or to review the By Laws, please contact Margie for details.
We look forward to you joining the team to help make the best better here in Curry County!
