4-H SET - Science, Engineering & Technology
4-H SET builds self confidence, self esteem, knowledge and life skills.
Encourages pursuing opportunities in science, technology, engineering and math.
Introduces basic Robotic concepts such as:
- Problem Solving (or disaster management)
- Structure (Robot) stability
- Motor attachment
- Motor control
- Touch sensors, light sensors, rotation sensors
- Basic programming using ROB0LAB
Provides students with the opportunity to develop work skills such as:
- Teamwork
- Collaboration
- Disaster Management
- Creative Solutions
4-H Lego Robotics Clubs and After School Programs:
4-H will be offering after school clubs encouraging youth to participate in designing, building and programming Lego robots. The programs will focus on the First Lego League competition program (http://www.usfirst.org/community/fll/) with a regional competition in early December.
