Spring into Gardening

Pre-registrations are due by 5:00 pm, Friday, February 17, 2012.  Don't delay because class sizes are limited. 

Join us for these annual home and speciality gardening workshops to be held at Umpqua Community College.  Select your choice of 4 classes that are each 1.5 hours long for a total of $20.00 for the whole day of classes.  Available classes will include:

  1. Time Block #1:  9:00 am to 10:30 am  (Pick 1 class)
    1. Key steps to successful tree fruit production
    2. Vegetable Gardening 1
    3. How to build great soil
  2. Time Block #2:  10:30 am to 12:00 pm  (Pick 1 class)
    1. Sustainable weed and moss control
    2. Vegetable Gardening 2
    3. Composting and local bulk potting mixes
  3. Time Block #3:  1:00 pm to 2:30 pm  (Pick 1 class)
    1. Container gardening
    2. Herbs:  Growing & using
    3. Growing quality grapes
  4. Time Block #4:   2:30 pm to 4:00 pm  (Pick 1 class)
    1. Canning, freezing & drying your garden's bounty
    2. Controlling vertebrate pests
    3. How to use the Douglas County Master Gardener resources.

Sorry to say you can only pick 4 classes (1 from each block of time).
