Measuring Your Trees

Date:
Thursday, October 24, 2013 - 9:00am - 12:00pm

Join us in this FREE workshop.

Knowing what you have on your property is the primary element in any woodland management plan.

Join us in this field session that introduces the "latest/greatest" computer program for measuring your trees.  Replacing the computer program Varplot, Extension Manual (EM) 9059:  Measuring Your Trees gives you all the computations of the retired program, but in an extremely user-friendly Excel format.

In our field session, we will take you through the basics of how to properly establish and record plot data and record that information into EM 9059: Measuring Your Trees Workbook.  These exercises will be done on-site, so we will take you through the entire process of recording plot data all the way to generating the results.

Location:  Glide Educational Forest Pavilion, Glide Transfer Station Road

Speakers: Steve Bowers, Douglas County OSU Extension Forestry Agent and Raini Rippy, Douglas County OSU Extension Natural Resources Instructor.

Cost:  FREE! (Please pre-register by calling 541-672-4461 or email: holly.burton@oregonstate.edu
