Dehydrating: From Fruits to Vegetables to Jerkies to Gummy Worms

Drying is one of the oldest methods of food preservation. Dehydration techniques have changed over the years. You will learn about different methods and types of dehydrators. Join us for a fun class lead by several experienced Douglas County OSU Extension Master Food Preservers. This is a hands-on class and you will be tasting food that has already been dehydrated; preparing foods to be dehydrated, as well as learning how to make fruit leathers and many combinations of vegetables. Recipes abound in your extensive handout packet. Bring a sack lunch and drinks.

Time: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Class Limit: 25. 

Registration Fee:  $30. Pre-registration required.  Full payment is required at time of registration (cash or check).
