Mount Mazama: Ashes to Forest - FULL

Join Extension Forest Heath Specialist, Dave Shaw and Extension Watershed Specialist, Paul Adams, along with your local Douglas County Extension Forestry Agent, Steve Bowers, on a field tour that will discuss the four basic western Oregon forest types as they developed in the shadow of Mt. Mazama over 7,000 years ago.  (Click here for a program information flyer.)

Location:  Check in at 8:00 am in the parking lot across the street from the Douglas County Library. (corner of Diamond Lake Blvd and Fowler Street.)  Vans will depart at 8:30 am and return by 3:30 pm.

Cost:  Free (BYO sack lunch or purchase lunch at Diamond Lake Lodge.)

Please dress appropriately for a field event in September (it's still summer and likely to be warm.)
