Douglas County School Forestry Tour

The annual Douglas County School Forestry Tour introduces 5th graders to forest management and products, tree identification, wildlife, fisheries, fire, and archaeology.  Individual stations are set up for 15-30 students and features hands-on learning and highly interactive instruction methods. 

Classroom registration will be available by the end of February and will be handled on a first come, first serve basis. Registration information will be emailed to all 5th grade teachers countywide.

Location:  Glide Educational Forest 

Cost:  FREE!  Transportation cost reimbursement is possible from the Oregon Forest Resource Institute (OFRI).
