Spring into Gardening 2018 Workshops

The annual “Spring into Gardening 2018” Workshops offer the opportunity for you to enjoy a single day to take up to 4 classes designed especially for the home and specialty gardener plus classes covering topics on food preservation and food storage.  All 4 classes for $25.00, total!  Pick one class from each Session.

  • Session 1:  9:00am to 10:30am
    - How to Build Great Garden Soil
    - Water Wise Plants and Xeriscaping
    - Fermenting Foods
  • Session 2:  10:30am to 12:00pm
    - Vegetable Gardening
    - Growing Berry Crops
    - Home Wine Making
  • Lunch break – Bring your Own:  12:00pm to 1:00pm
  • Session 3:  1:00pm to 2:30pm
    - Mistakes to Avoid in Your Gardens
    - Container Gardening
    - Basic Vegetable Preservation
  • Session 4:  2:30pm to 4:00pm
    - Tool Time for Gardeners
    - Gardening Ideas in Low Rainfall Years
    - Home Beer Brewing

Location:  Umpqua Community College in Bonnie Ford Health, Nursing and Science Center (HNSC)
Check in time:  8:30 am.   Class times:  9:00am to 4:00pm 

Pre-registration with payment required (cash, check, or credit card). Deadline: 11:59pm, Thursday, February 22, 2018. Class sizes are limited by room size, so first come, first served.
