Resource Management Planning Local Sources

A written forest management plan can be one of the most important tools available to family forestland owners. Your Douglas County OSU Extension Foresters would like to encourage you to either develop one yourself, or seek out the services of a professional forester to produce one for you. This website has been established to help you start the planning process. It includes materials from a class called "The Basics of Forest Management Planning" taught here in Douglas County, and features tools and links to resources that should make it easier to get started. This site is a work in progress, so check back frequently to see what's new. As always, if you have questions about developing a forest management plan or any other aspect of forest management, give us a call or drop us an e-mail -- we're here to help.
