DOUGLAS COUNTY MASTER GARDENERS HISTORY OF THE ORGANIZATION

The Chapter of the Douglas County Master Gardeners was started in 1984 under the direction of Dr. Karl Carlson, John Stelzer, and Kelly Stelzer. The Oregon State Extension Agent at that time was Jeff Olson. Jerry Maul became the Agent in December 1986. Membership by years has shown a steady increase:
