Growing tomatoes and tomatillos—in English and Spanish

English & Spanish publication

As Oregon becomes a more culturally diverse state, EESC is trying to publish work in ways that meets the needs of our more diverse communities.

“The Master Gardeners would benefit from having a resource in Spanish on growing tomatoes,” Neil Bell, Extension Horticulturist, told us.

His comment made a lot of sense when we looked at the downloads for our most popular Spanish-language publications—gardening was high on the list.

Grow Your Own Tomatoes and Tomatillos (EC 1333) only used to be available in English, but when the publication was revised in 2014, it was the perfect time to also offer the Spanish version—Cultive sus propios tomates y tomatillos (EC 1333-S).
