Publishing

Publishing isn’t just about paper anymore. There are lots of ways to get your educational, research-based information into the hands of the public. We work with you—OSU Extension and Agricultural Experiment Station faculty—to publish in a wide range of formats:

  • Digital publications
  • Print publications
  • eBooks
  • Apps
  • Podcasts
  • Videos

We work with you to figure out the best way to present your information to your audience. Most projects go into the OSU Extension Catalog, home to more than 900 books, fact sheets, videos, and other educational materials. Many are also published with Washington State University and the University of Idaho through the Pacific Northwest publishing cooperative. For more information on PNW publishing, see the Author’s Guide to PNW Extension Publishing.

How it works

The publishing process starts when you submit a project request. After we receive your request, we assemble a team specializing in editing, graphic design, multimedia, and web development—depending on the project. We assign a project manager, so you have one contact person from start to finish.
