Bio
My goal is to increase public understanding of the sciences by showing the unique value of OSU research. First, I interview professors and researchers and learn about how they’re improving lives and livelihoods in Oregon and beyond. Then, I share with those stories with you.
In addition to writing articles for Oregon’s Agriculture Progress magazine, news releases and educational outreach materials, I produce multimedia to communicate the work of OSU scientists and educators.
Previously, I worked as a reporter and news director at NPR stations in upstate New York and Indiana, contributing stories to All Things Considered, Morning Edition, On Point, The World and Chicago Public Media.
I earned an M.A. in journalism from Indiana University and a degree in history from the University of Evansville. A native Hoosier, I grew up near the Ohio River in southern Indiana.
