Computer virus incidents are on the rise, so we would like our users to increase their
level of security by adding a weekly scan of all files stored on their hard drives and their
personal network drive (P). Since this is simple task, we would like for each user to
follow the steps outlined below to setup a weekly scan. If you have any problems or
questions, call us at 737-4177.

Steps to set up Autoscan:

  1. Double-click on the yellow shield located in lower right-hand corner of your
screen. This will bring up the Antivirus Program.
  2. Click once on the plus sign beside Scheduled Scans.
  3. Click once on the item New Scheduled Scan.
  4. Name the scan Weekly Scan, then choose the Next button in the bottom right hand
    corner of this screen.
  5. Set the frequency of the scan to Weekly, and choose a day and time that you
are sure your machine will be turned on. A good time to choose is during
    your lunch hour. Click Next.
  6. Place a check mark in the box beside C: and P: by clicking once in the boxes
    beside the drive letters.
  7. Click on the options button and make sure the section under file types is set to
    all. Click okay.
  8. Click Save.
If for any reason these directions do not work for you or you see something different,
cancel out of this process and call us for help at 737-4177.
