OSU Faculty Resources

The OSU Faculty Handbook provides an overview of opportunities, benefits, responsibilities, and policies that affect Oregon State University faculty.

OSU Benefits

The EAP (Employee Assistance Program) is available to OSU classified and non-classified employees. Cascade Centers, Inc. provides a specific number of face-to-face visits for you (and/or your eligible dependents) to talk with an EAP professional about home or work situations of concern.

The OSU Employee Benefits provides information on employee benefits, worker's compensation/on-the-job injuries/illnesses, and FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act).

Employment

Faculty and Staff employment vacancies for OSU and the OSU Extension Service are available at OSU Jobs. Academic positions are teaching, research and public service faculty positions which hold academic rank and teach, conduct research, or provide public service. Classified positions are those represented by the Oregon Public Employees Union (OPEU).

The Oregon Employment Department has information on jobs, unemployment, etc.

Sample interview questions are available for classified or unclassified employees. These questions will assist OSU Extension offices in their recruitment and appointment processes.

Forms

The Oregon State Central Administrative Resource (OSCAR) is now available. OSCAR is the main location for OSU forms. OSU Employees will find the forms for leave requests, timesheets, communication allowance agreements, etc. Supervisors will find the forms for the performance evaluation reviews, new classified employee checklists, background check criteria, etc.

Travel Information

OSU travel information is available for OSU business related travel.

Moving Information

The OUS moving expense policy reimburses employees for moving expenses, house hunting expenses and temporary living expenses arising from a new appointment or transfer. The OUS Moving Expense Summary Table lists the limits, tax impact, and additional information for different types of moving expenses.
