Family Financial Management
OSU Extension Programs have a long history of helping families with
credible, unbiased management information. Oregon’s Program focuses
on three major financial areas:

The national recession has hit Oregon communities hard. As one response to the concerns of families and communities during these tough economic times, the OSU Extension Service has developed the following web site to help people find information that they might need, including a list of state resources, community services, and other information.
Basic Budgeting with an emphasis on extending adequate family food
resources throughout the month.
Regaining financial control following job loss or changes in job status,
such as Managing Between Jobs and Natural Disasters (for
more information on Emergency Preparedness).
Investing and saving for Financial Security in Later Life. Resources
are also available to help with many aging related decisions that have
significant financial implications (for
more information on other topics relating to aging).
The Bankruptcy Debtor Education Program: Moving Forward to Financial Security, meets the legal requirements for debtor education for people who plan to file for banckruptcy. This site provides information and a schedule of classes.
