Keeping our food safe is a national concern. It is estimated that 76 million people had foodborne illness in 1999 -- 5,000 people die of foodborne illness in the United States each year. Foodborne illness results in sickness, lost wages, and even death. In this module, you will learn how to keep food safe and to prevent foodborne illness.
