- Save money — buy bread on sale and keep extras in the freezer.
- Instant rice costs a lot more than regular rice.
- Foods with less packaging cost less (mini-packets of oatmeal cost much more than a large container).
- Store grains like rice, pasta and cereal in tightly closed containers to keep pests out.
