OSU Extension Service Programs Build Healthy Communities
The health of a community is dependent on the ability of individuals, families, and organizations within it to thrive and function successfully. Extension Family and Community Health provides resources and delivers programs that promote healthy community systems, healthy families, and healthy homes.
Oregon Rural Communities Explorer – Information to help local citizens and policy makers make better decisions about rural issues, including vitality and change in Oregon’s rural communities
Ford Institute Leadership Program - Building effective community leaders, organizations, and networks that promote vital rural communities. OSU Extension is working collaboratively with the Ford Institute for Community Building, as well as program trainers and community members to define outcomes, and design data collection and management systems.
Food for Oregon - a database of local and regional community food resources in Oregon developed to increase Oregonians' food security by improving access to local, sustainable food resources.
Maximizing Brief Encounters Program– an innovative Southern Oregon project that provides training for senior meal program volunteers in health promotion and disease prevention.

Mold & Indoor Air Quality Control - general information about moisture and mold control in homes and buildings and details on educational programs that are available through OSU Extension Service.
