American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry - Over 50 fact sheets covering both normative and non-normative child events. Available in English, Spanish and French.

American Pediatrics Association - contains information related to child health.

Annie E. Casey Foundation - fosters public policies, human service reforms, and community supports that meet the needs of today's vulnerable children and families. Publishes the annual Kids Count Data Book, a national and state-by-state effort to track the status of children in the U.S.

Center for Effective Parenting - The center focuses its efforts in the areas of service, training, and research to improve parenting skills.

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention -leads public health efforts to prevent and control infectious and chronic diseases, injuries, workplace hazards, disabilities, and environmental health threats.

Child Trends - Works with federal and state officials and other researchers to improve the quality, scope, and use of data on children and their families.

Child Welfare League of America - an association of nearly 800 public and private nonprofit agencies that assist more than 3.5 million abused and neglected children and their families each year.

Consumer Product Safety Commission - Fact sheets, brochures, and other materials describe common hazards associated with use of consumer products and recommendations for how to avoid these hazards. Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) - Hosted by the Early Childhood Research Institute the site provides a list of over 150 titles of publications that could be useful for parents of children with a disability, or for practitioners and researchers in the field of childhood disability. The right side of the webpage is in Spanish and Spanish materials can be accessed from there.  

CYFERnet -Practical research-based information from the Nation's leading Universities includes information on Early Childhood, School Age, Teens and Parents/Family. Includes information for parents on Parenting in both English and Spanish, professionals on Parenting Education, and a link to Just for kids interactive website.

Educational Resource Information Center (ERIC) – Online digital library of education research and information. Topics include: teacher-parent partnerships, violence and young children, and supporting young girls in adolescence. Many articles available in Spanish.

National Association for the Education of Young Children  activities you can do at home to encourage your child’s development.

National Clearinghouse for Alcohol and Drug Information has a number of resources containing parenting information, mostly emphasizing prevention and treatment of substance abuse. Resources available for Hispanic/Latino audiences.

National Center for Education in Maternal and Child Health - Content areas include breastfeeding, infant and child health, prenatal care, infant care, child safety, sexuality education, adolescent health, childhood nutrition and oral health, injury/violence prevention, chronic illnesses and childcare. Spanish language materials available.

National Fatherhood Initiative’s mission is to improve the well being of children by increasing the proportion of children growing up with involved, responsible, and committed fathers. Links to a comprehensive list of fatherhood resources.

National Information Center for Children and Youth with Disabilities -  a national information and referral center focusing on children and youth (birth to age 22).  Provides information on disabilities and disability-related issues for families, educators, and other professionals.  (Spanish Publications).

National Network for Child Care - Cooperative Extension System's child care information site. Includes articles and resources under various subject headings in both Spanish and English.

National Parent Education Network is committed to advancing the field of parenting education through networking, knowledge development, professional growth and leadership.

National PTA - Resources for parents are available, including articles and publications on safety and health and wellness. Many of the resources are available in Spanish on the National PTA Spanish Website.

Prevent Child Abuse America - provides leadership to promote and implement child abuse and neglect prevention efforts at both the national and local levels.

SIDS Network, Inc. - Information on SIDS is available in a number of languages. A fact sheet on how to prevent SIDS is available in Spanish.

Talaris Research Institute  works to improve the social, emotional and cognitive development of children from the prenatal period through age five.

Tufts University Child and Family Web Guide - a directory that evaluates, describes and provides links to hundreds of sites containing child development research and practical advice. Topics cover all ages and are selected on the basis of parent recommendations.
