Delicious vegetables are flourishing in your garden, but you find you are not the only one snacking! Fat caterpillars, aphids, beetles and more all want to share in the bounty! Although less than 1% of all insects are garden pests, those that are can create serious problems for a productive vegetable garden. An OSU Extension Service Master Gardener will introduce you to some of our most common pests and provide a variety of management options. Factors such as insect life cycles, the timing of planting, exclusion techniques and determining when the pest is most susceptible to control measures will be covered.
