The Food Innovation Center now offers two (2) quick overview seminars for entrepreneurs who are looking into developing a food product. The two seminars will provide basic information that will help the entrepreneur understand many of the requirements needed for developing a new food product. As a participant you will receive reference and resource material handouts. The seminars can be taken in any order and they are 2 hours in length.
Quick Overview #1 – will address Product Formulation, Nutritional Labeling, and Food Safety.
Quick Overview #2 – Will address Processing, Packaging, and Shelf Life Studies.
Please call our receptionist to enroll in the seminars.
Cost per seminar is $ 110.00. Space is limited.

The Central Oregon Food Policy Council invites you to discuss the rewards and challenges of urban food production in our area. We've invited speakers from around Central Oregon and the Northwest to help us with this conversation. Save the date: April 6, 2013; 8:00-4:30; OSU Cascades Hall, 2600 Northwest College Way, Bend; $25 ($15 students with ID) until March 30. $30 ($20 students with ID) after March 30th. Lunch included. Spring Into Gardening Seminars--YAMHILL COUNTY

A fun day of gardening seminars. Gail Langellotto, Statewide Coordinator of the OSU Extension Master Gardener program, will be the keynote speaker. Her topic will be "Tips on growing and eating more veggies".
Seminar topics will include: Soils, Water, Vertical Gardening, Ergonomics, and Growing Healthy Kids. Plus many informative and educational displays!
Classes will be held in an auditorium with theatre seating. Five 1-hour sessions with 15 min breaks and a 1 hour lunch. Box lunches will be available for purchase.
Pre-registration (before March 7): $30/person, General registration: $40/person, Students: $20/person
