Forestry

The Extension Forestry Program in Grant/Baker County counties provides objective, research-based publications, classes, workshops field tours, home visits and websites that address current issues in forestry and natural resource management. My programs are designed for today's timberland owners, natural resource professionals, loggers, educators and youth. These programs provide information on a wide variety of topics including forest regeneration, vegetation management, silvicultural systems, forest insects and diseases, harvesting, marketing forest products and managing wildlife habitat.

This web site is designed to be an additional resource that will complement and enhance my forestry programs. In fact, my objective is to make it as useful as any reference you might have on your bookshelf. It now contains downloadable  Extension publications, newsletters, a calendar of forestry related events, and links to other useful web sites . This is a brand-new tool and there is much to learn about how to make it as valuable and useful as I think it can be.  If you have suggestions or ideas on how to improve it, let me know!!

For the present, I have only updated the Baker County website with current Forestry information so please click on the link below to access that site.  I apologize, but my time (and website management expertise) is limited but I will endeavor to get the Grant County site whipped into shape soon!  Thanks for your patience!!
