Central Gorge Master Gardener Program
The Hood River County Extension office provides training and opportunities for the general public in home horticulture and backyard gardening. The Master Gardener program gives people a chance not only to learn but to share what they have learned with their community.
Interested in becoming a Master Gardener in Hood River? The 2017 Master Gardener Program applications are now closed but you can be added to the 2018 program. Plant Clinics: Open April to October
Master Gardener volunteers holds weekly plant clinics. If you have a question, bring in your plant sample and question for the following times and locations:
Mondays at Hood River Extension office: 1:00-4:00pm
Thursdays at Hood River Extension office: 9:00am-12:00pm and 1:00-4:00pm
Saturdays at the Hood River Farmers' Market downtown Hood River 9:00am-1:00pm
Weed of the Month: Tree of Heaven
Weed of the Month is a collaborative effort with the Soil and Water Conservation District to outreach about invasive weeds in the Columbia Gorge.
