Welcome

Extension has been part of Jefferson County since 1935, providing the community with research-based knowledge and education.  Educational programs are provided in the areas of 4-H youth, agriculture, small acreages, home and commercial landscape, livestock and range, family and community development and leadership training.

For those living in Jefferson County the Madras Extension office is the front door to Oregon State University. It is our goal to increase the relevance of current Extension program areas, and increase Oregon State University's footprint in our community by providing easy access to the knowledge and expertise across the entire university. We consider our web presence critical to expanding this access and the educational opportunities Oregon State University provides.
