Family Financial Management
OSU Extension Programs have a long history of helping families with credible, unbiased management information. Oregon’s Program focuses on three major financial areas:

Basic Budgeting for Food Security
Basic Budgeting with an emphasis on extending adequate family food resources throughout the month.

Managing Between Jobs
Regaining financial control following job loss or changes in job status, such as Managing Between Jobs and Natural Disasters (for more information on Emergency Preparedness).

Financial Security
Investing and saving for Financial Security in Later Life. Resources are also available to help with many aging related decisions that have significant financial implications (for more information on other topics relating to aging).

Emergency Preparedness
Actions relating to emergencies fall into three categories:

Preparation: If you are prepared and know how to act you can lesson the adverse consequences and ease recovery.

Response: Action taken during the event to minimize adverse consequences.

Recovery: Actions and resources to help you recover from the consequences of an emergency.
