Natural Resources
Sustainable crop production depends on the wise use of soil, water and other natural resources. Irrigated agriculture in the Klamath Basin exists in harmony with a complex ecosystem which includes people, plants, and wildlife throughout the entire watershed. For links to natural resource and watershed management information visit the USDA Stream Restoration web page. OSU Extension coordinates the annual Klamath County School Forestry Tour, a cooperative community natural resource education project which has hosted a thousand sixth graders and their teachers each fall, for over thirty-five years. The link below will provide information on the Forestry Tour and program materials for educators.
