The Lake County Extension Office offers various food preservation workshops and classes throughout the year in multiple locations across the county. All workshops and classes include hands on applications of subject matter learned as well as samples. Dial Gauge Testing

The Lake County Extension Service provides free dial gauge accuracy testing. Dial gauges should be checked for accuracy and overall condition every year prior to the canning season. If you use your pressure canner throughout the year, check at the same time every year.
