Study Group Educational Programs

The general public is invited to participate in all Extension Study Group educational programs. All programs are free and are held on Thursdays, 9:30-11:30 a.m. in the OSU/Lane County Extension Auditorium. Pre-registration is requested. Call 682-4243 or print out and mail in your registration form. The program schedule includes:

January 17 ~ "Oodles of Noodles" Pasta comes in different shapes, sizes and varieties for all kinds of different uses. Learn about the types of pastas available, their characteristics and uses, nutritional value, storage, and the many ways it can be served. Presented and developed by Susan Busler, OSU Extension Faculty.

February 21 ~ "Tea-The Drink of the World" Discover how tea has become one of the most popular drinks of the world. Examine some of the claims of health benefits of tea. Experience flavors and fragrances of the various kinds and types of tea. Presented by Susan Busler, OSU Extension Faculty.

March 20 ~ "Beautiful Hawaii" Come learn about this exciting state, it's customs, culture, food, clothing and music. Presented and developed by Dottie Zajac, OSU/Lane County Extension Study Group Volunteer.

April 17 ~ "Taking Charge of Your Medical Care" Learn to collect and organize your medical records, what records you need to keep, how to prepare for your medical appointments so you get your time and money's worth from your doctor. Practice techniques for effective communication with health care providers. Presented by Susan Busler, OSU Extension Faculty.
