Master Food Preservers Share their Knowledge in 2018 Workshops

The Oregon State University Extension Service Master Food Preserver (MFP) program launched a series of cooking classes for Lane County residents.

Most classes will be held at the Community of Christ Church located at 1485 Gilham Road, Eugene unless otherwise noted. Register by filling out the appropriate form and either mailing or dropping off to the OSU Extension Service in Lane County, 996 Jefferson St., Eugene OR 97402. Some classes have credit card payment options, see below.

2018 Class Offerings

Winter Workshop Offerings - Mail in registration form.

Take all three classes for $75 per person, credit card option. Register for individual classes below.

  • Bread and Soup Class - the Perfect Comfort Foods for Winter: Saturday, January 13, 2018, 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Class to be held at at the Community of Christ Church, 1485 Gilham Road, Eugene. Mail in registration form with a check $35 per person. Payment with credit card.
  • Tips and Tricks for Getting the Most out of your New Appliances (Pressure Cooker, Air Fryers and More): Saturday, February 10, 2018, 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Class to be held at the Community of Christ Church, 1485 Gilham Road, Eugene. Mail in registration form with a check $35 per person. Payment with credit card.
  • Creating Quick and Easy Meals from your Food Pantry and Freezer: Saturday, March 3, 2018 (Date Changed), 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Class to be held at the Community of Christ Church, 1485 Gilham Road, Eugene. Mail in registration form with a check $35 per person. Payment with credit card.

Become a Master Food Preserver Volunteer

Application to become a 2018 Master Food Preserver Volunteer is available. Classes run mid April - June. Call 541-344-4885 for additional information. Application due by March 30, 2018.
