Extension Study Group Program Welcomes You
The Extension Study Group Program is a program for people to learn--emerging health issues, improve your family and home, and share this information with your community. Monthly lessons are given and open to the general public.
Study Group members learn about…New places around the world; Emerging health issues; Ways to improve their homes and family relationships; New ideas/methods for food preparation; Saving money and more.
Study Group members are involved in…Community service projects; Social activities; Practical educational programs that apply to everyday living.
Study Group Events include…Monthly lessons; Spring Achievement Day; Annual program planning; And much more…

The general public is invited to participate in all Extension Study Group educational programs. Pre-registration is requested, or required if stated. Call the OSU/Lane County Extension Service to register. Or print out and mail in the registration form. All trainings are held on Thursdays, from 9:30-11:30 a.m. and are held in the OSU/Lane County Extension Service Auditorium. The program schedule includes:
January 17 ~ "Oodles of Noodles" Pasta comes in different shapes, sizes and varieties for all kinds of different uses. Learn about the types of pastas available, their characteristics and uses, nutritional value, storage, and the many ways it can be served.

February 21 ~ "Tea-The Drink of the World" Discover how tea has become one of the most popular drinks of the world. Examine some of the claims of health benefits of tea. Experience flavors and fragrances of the various kinds and types of tea.
